Required function in select failed

  • Hi,
    we have a select field inside contactform 7. For example with this tags:
    [select* locations “Home1” “Home2” “Home3”]
    The * behind select should say it is a required field. But we have no Error Messages in select fields with required content.
    We have PHP 7.2 and WordPress 4.9.8
    Do you have any idea to solve the problem. We tested select fields in a test area and we have no error message when the field is empty.
