Embedded video wrong width in IE

I’m having trouble with embedded clips showing up in the wrong width in Internet Explorer. In Firefox everything looks perfectly fine, the YouTube clips are 425 wide. When I check the same clip in IE the width looks to be half of that.
All clips look fine in Firefox, Opera and Chrome…but not in IE6-7.
Anyone know what could be the trouble? I’m using WP 2.6 with the Mandigo theme and there’s no difference if I embed it via plain html, or any of the various plugins.
