Embedded video still appears as gray box in editor window.

    I know one of the features of WP 4.0 was that embedded videos would “appear” in the editor window. That functionality is not working for me, though. I’ve tried two different themes, and I still get the old gray box with the arrow icon. The embedded video plays fine on the site, but can’t be seen while working in the editor.

    Anyone else seeing this problem?

    Have you tried the default TwentyFourteen theme, and have you tried with all your plugins off?

    I tried disabling a few plugins, but I didn’t try changing themes. I am responsible for about 20 sites, so disabling plugins/changing themes is more work than I have time to do for such a minor improvement.

    So I think I’ll just chalk this up to cosmetic inconvenience, mark it resolved, and call it a day.
