• Hi,

I am new to wordpress, I have it installed on my site. I figured out how to embed videos from YouTube in a blog post, but isn’t there any way to embed videos if they are actually just movie files ON my site?

The second question is — if I HAVE to use YouTube, is there any way in the embed code to specify the quality? Also is there any way to tell it NOT to jump to a page with “related” videos at the end, none of which are actually by me??

    Thanks
    Bob

Go to YouTube and click on Share > Embed > Options.

Hm. I did that, and all it appeared to do was tack ‘&hd=1’ to the end of my embed URL.
Unfortunately even changing the embed URL to that in my post did not result in the quality improving at all. It is still very low.

Any other ideas on how to do this? The original size of my movie is tiny, it should be able to play it without having to reduce the resolution like it is doing now.

Sorry, as far as I know YouTube videos work only within the available options there.
