Embedded link not showing up on home page

  • I’m having a problem getting an embedded link to show up on my home page post. It shows up once you click on it the post, but not as a visual on the home page.

    I’ve posted the two link paths to what I’m talking about. You’ll see you have to click on the link to see the actual visual, but I was hoping to have that visual on the home page (since I’m a photographer) to stay in line with the rest of the blog. Is there a workaround for this? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. It’s the most recent post (Lifestyle Portfolio).

    How are you embedding Issuu?

    I’ve never used Issuu myself, but I see that it’s built in to WordPress as of version 4.0. I did a test with the Twenty Fifteen theme by adding https://issuu.com/iscience/docs/issue23 to my blog post and it was functional on both the homepage’s post excerpt and in the actual post page.

    If that doesn’t work for you, the problem may be specific to your theme.

    Yeah, thanks a TON for the reply. It’s strange to me… Yup, when I embedded that link, it only shows up on the actual post page, not the homepage, which I was wishing and am striving for it to do. What I ended up doing for a visual on the homepage

    was adding an jpeg of the cover of the portfolio. But… it sure would be nice to have it interactive as it is on the actual post page

    It shows much better like that since it’s one less step, and also the visual of the turning pages is a draw when on the home page exploring around.

    Yeah, I will look up the company I bought the theme from. It’s got to be that. I’ll keep trying. Thanks again!
