When I view pages with embedded Drive folders in Mozilla Firefox the files do not display inside the folders. All I see is a blank iFrame with scrollbar.

When I view the same pages in Chrome and Microsoft Edge the files display correctly. I have not tested with Safari.

I found the earlier thread by another user who was having the same problem and followed the solution there (setting sharing settings to anyone with the link can view). This fixed the problem and made the files display.

However this isn’t a satisfactory solution because it means my documents can potentially be accessed by unauthorized people, and some of them contain sensitive information. I am displaying the embedded folders within a password protected intranet site, which authorized users log into using your Google Login plugin.

I would like for these files to only be accessible to users who they are shared with, but it seems I will have to instruct my users to only use Chrome browser since the plugin is not fully compatible with Firefox. Downgrading file security is a workaround, not an actual solution.

Thanks for your post, but please could you get in touch over email so we can discuss in more detail: [email protected]

I may not pick up replies here.

If the users are logging in with their Google accounts anyway, then please just set the sharing permissions in Drive to the users who you actually want to have access (or your entire company, or example). You don’t need to use ‘anyone with the link can view’ if you expect your users to be logged in with an appropriate Google account that should have permissions to view.

    Regards,

    Dan
