Embedded Facebook Videos quit working

  • I was using the <iframe> code in the custom html block on Gutenberg. It was working and now it isn’t. I have tried various plugins and methods to add Facebook videos to the page and nothing works. I am using Astra theme and it and all plugins are up to date. Our church is not meeting and we are having services via Facebook Live and I am embedding videos in our website. I would sure appreciate any and all help.

    For a Facebook video, you should be able to simply paste in the URL of the video, and the Block Editor will automatically convert it into a proper embed.

    Well I tried posting the url of the video in a paragraph block and a custom HTML block and I did not get the video. What I got was “Posted by Oakview Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 20, 2020” No video. I also tried the <iframe> embed.
    This was working. It just quit working. I tried it on a couple of other sites I own and used live preview with different themes still no luck.
    Any and all help appreciated

    Try pasting the URL directly into a new Paragraph block with no other content.

    If that doesn’t work, what is the URL?

    https://www.facebook.com/526538904046470/videos/3200069850043763/ is the url of video I want to post. oakviewbaptistchurch.net is the site I have it tried to post it on. You can see that it creates a link entitled “Posted by Oakview Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 20, 2020

    I really need some help on this it was working and none of the embeds that were working previously are not working.

    As a normal Facebook user, the Embed option is not clickable for me directly on the video. Perhaps embedding has been disabled on the video?

    I’m having the same issue. Any luck in getting it solved?
