Embedded audio file – play/pause button not working

Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

Done. All plugins are off and the player on my theme still not working. But it is on the Twenty Fourteen theme.

What puzzles me is that both players look different, although I haven’t been styling any of them in any way. See screenshots below:

What causes this behavior?

PS. On both themes I’ve used the same code to embed the mp3:

<?php echo do_shortcode('[audio preload="auto" src=""]'); ?>

Im having a similar problem, my embed shows in the back end but on the live site nothing shows. I’ve used the built in add media feature of wordpress. I’m not sure if this was an issue or if a fix have been issue. I created a password protected page, so all audio uploaded on that page is only available to preview for that particular client. I say that to say, a public hosting such as sound cloud will not suffice. Thank you for the assistance in advance.
