Thanks for helping me with this ??
I cant see where to change width or height. I have pasted in the code as describe by the wordpress manual and the object get written in automatically:

    <object width=”640″ height=”505″><param name=”movie” value=”https://www.youtube.com/v/E1Uvr8dUDHQ?fs=1″><param name=”allowFullScreen” value=”true”><param name=”allowscriptaccess” value=”always”><embed src=”https://www.youtube.com/v/E1Uvr8dUDHQ?fs=1&#8243; type=”application/x-shockwave-flash” width=”640″ height=”505″ allowscriptaccess=”always” allowfullscreen=”true”></object>

go to settings->media in your admin menu

Use video quicktags plugin and set a global height and width format so you don’t have to change it everytime you post a video.

I hav tried out putting in width and height in like this and it works:
    [embed width="480" height"385"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1Uvr8dUDHQ[/embed]

And I am going do some experiment on the plugin describe, kuld33p, and I will also check into the media setttings.

    Thanks folks ??

    • WordPress automatically embed Videos of Youtube links that are pasted in the text editor.
    • If you want to change the aspect of the embed video, Just go to setting >>>media and change Maximum embed size to the size you want.

If you dont find that option, try browsing to yourweb.com/wp-admin/options-media.php (if you have wp installed in root)
