Embed Twitter video or Tweet shows only as text

Are you pasting in just a link on a line by itself? Like:

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

No I used the embed code provided by twitter

So you see the Donald Trump tweet did not render it only shows text of the tweet

Try using the normal, built-in embed for twitter — just paste in the link on a line by itself.

I tried both ways by using twitter’s embed code and just pasting the twitter tweet link and I sadly get the same result

I disabled all the plugins I still got the problem and I could not duplicate the problem on another WordPress site with a different theme.

The question is what on the theme is causing the conflict?

Sorry if I am asking too much but I spent days pouring over the theme’s code and I can’t find anything that would cause the conflict.

Update: when I place the tweet link in the visual editor it renders properly but when I save the post and visit the page only the tweet text shows
