• Hello,

    I have been using an HTML block to embed pinterest pins to my site and everything was working fine.

    with code:

    <a data-pin-do="embedPin" data-pin-width="large" ></a>

    <script
      async
      defer
      src="https://assets.pinterest.com/js/pinit.js"
      >
    </script>

    However, all the pin images are now blurry.

    I tried using the actual Pinterest URL block and the Embed block with pinterest links but each time it says “Sorry, this content could not be embedded.”

    How can I fix this? Please help!!

    Thanks in advance

  • Hello @hollowtowhole

    I would be happy to assist. I tested this image out on my test wp site for these types of reported issue. Try changing the image size from large to Medium. This seems to produce a clearer image. I think the quality of the original image is not high and increasing the size will distort the image.

    Hello @joecoyle

    Thank you for your reply. I have also tried this method but the images are still blurry even when reduced to small size.

    I also tried updating the quality and size of the image in Canva and reuploaded it to wordpress but that also did not solve the issue.

    The interesting thing is, all the embed pin images on each post were fine just a few weeks ago, all crisp and crystal clear, nothing has changed on my end, so not sure how all the embedded pins are blurry now?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance

    I’m having the same issue with embedded pins showing up blurry when creating new posts and on old post where the pins used to look clear. Did you end up finding a way to fix it? Thanks!

    Hello! No unfortunately I did not, I’m not sure what happened because it was all working fine before.

    I’ve tried many troubleshooting methods, different embed sizes, different image sizes and even linking other people’s URL pins – nothing worked.

    I’m in the process of removing all the embedded pins and using a plugin instead.

    Let me know if you end up finding a solution!

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Thanks for getting back to me! I’ve tried a few different things too. The only size I’ve gotten to work and look good is the small but that size is smaller than I’d like. I’ll keep searching to see if I find a solution too! Let me know if the plugin works and if so what one.

    Thank you!

    Hi guys, having the same issue across so many pins across my site. I contacted my hosting company who said it’s definitely a Pinterest thing. I have tried multiple plugins, but none work. Time to contact Pinterest directly.

    I am having the same problem with adding Pinterest pins to me blog. The quality is so bad that I removed them. The images used to create the pin on Pinterest are high resolution PNG files so I don’t know why the embedded pin images are so bad. I decided to add the original image to my blog, scaled down to fit the post, and add a caption with the link to the pin. The problem is that the image doesn’t have the Pinterest pin sharing link. Perhaps there is a plugin to take care of that. I just don’t want low resolution images in a blog post that I have spent a day creating.
