Hi @thomaslab66
It’s actually quite possible that one of the plugins or a theme is adding it without even giving an option to disable. That wouldn’t be a common case but can’t be ruled out.
I checked the theme that you’re using and it doesn’t seem to be doing that but I could only test the free (Lite) version so if you’re using a premium one it might be different.
It’s rather unlikely that there would be a “leftover” from already removed plugin unless the content got cached and the CSS class responsible for lazy load that was added by such plugin got “stuck” in such cached content. If the class would be “lazyloaded” it could “interfere” with Smush or if it was just “lazy” it might, in some browsers (like Chrome 75+) trigger browsers native lazy load.
But I don’t see any lazy load related classes/scripts anymore on these pages. if you have been clearing cache on site/server (if there is any) or it just expired, it might be it. I realize it’s already quite some time since your last post here (and I’m sorry for the delay on our end) but have you tried to re-enabled Smush “Lazy Load” meanwhile to see if it now works or if it still breaks images?
Best regards,
Adam
