Embed doesn’t display product but it is on db

    I’m testing the free version of the plugin since two days ago and there’s something I don’t understand.

    I write a blog post and I paste a URL and it gets embedded. I write another blog post and I paste a different URL and it says “Auto Amazon Links: No products found.”. I go to Reports > Products and search by the ASIN and there is the product I try to embed. I’ve tried to clear cache and to activate the http proxy and nothing helped.

    There is a case where a product embedded doesn’t show and I go to Reports > Products and search by the product name and I try to embed every product that search result returned (9 products) one by one. Only one product was embedded while the others showed the “Auto Amazon Links: No products found.”

    Another case is an embedded product that was shown yesterday that today it isn’t showing the message “Auto Amazon Links: No products found.”

    Another case is that embedded product doesn’t show while editing but it does while on preview or published.

    Another problem I found is if you search a product on Reports > Products and you go to next page the filtered text gets lost and other products are shown.

    Just found out that embeds with “Show product links in iframe” option checked gets more “Auto Amazon Links: No products found.” messages than with that option unchecked. That doesn’t solve the problem completely but it helps a little bit.

    Not sure what causes such a problem. Maybe, you can resort to the shortcode by passing ASIN like the following.

    I have the exact same problem on 2 sites. I had already reported my problem and then everything came back as if by magic but it starts again and happens often. For some products, like books, I put ISBN-10 and ISBN-13, like this [amazon_auto_links asin=”2813220779, 978-2813220776″], it can help but it’s not enough. I integrate the products into my articles via blocks to facilitate modifications on all my pages. Then, I keep a draft page on which I list all the products integrated on my site in order to check for shortages and replace with similar products. Some times, a third, or even only a quarter of the products are displayed, then suddenly, everything is displayed without problem.
    I tested with and without using blocks, then different settings on Auto Amazon Links, and even on Asset CleanUp, cleared the cache, etc… Nothing works, most products are not displayed. Sometimes the display of products returns quickly (within 30 minutes) but today it has lasted several hours. I’ve spent hours and hours searching but I’ve come to a dead end. Too bad, because this plugin is great.

    @haoris Can you create a new topic? The OP addressed several different issues and it’s not clear which one you have. Plus, it’s possible that you might be having a slightly different one from the OP.
