• I use this plugin on 90% of every site I develop, we build a LOT of sites for clients.

With that said, I woke up to see a weird advertisement on many of the sites, after about 5 mins work I narrowed it down to this plugin. I checked the changelog and I see “1.10.0 – 2021-1-23 Updated: Redux framework to 4.3.3.” So I found the plugin now causing this advertisement.

Do you expect this will stay? I now have dozens of clients emailing and messaging me about this… Please advise.

  • Hello,
I have exactly the same problem, and even though I declined, when I create a new post, Redux has been added to the editor, without my knowledge!
How to remove Redux completely now as Redux does not appear in the plugin listed but was installed by WP Mail Logging?
    Thanks for a rapid answer,
    Best regards

@helenel I was only able to remove it by disabling the plugin. I hope the author resolves this, quickly.

    Hi Jesse,
Thanks for your quick reply. As we need WP mail logging for mails, we cannot do that ??
Likewise! As Wysija and Mailpoet are serious and Mailpoet is now part of woocommerce and wordpress, I would hope that the problem will be solved quickly?
    Fingers crossed!

At least WP should be clear about which plugin is responsible for this misleading notice.

Done with what? I didn’t start anything?
Just the question which plugin to use instead, WP Mail Catcher?

Agree, this is totally unacceptable behaviour — going to disable the plugin and look for another alternative!

Same here, my site redirected to ads. Just found that this plugin include Redux and there’s a breach in it. Please address this!

    Hello everyone,

Thank you for the issue reports. The banner was not intended to be shown.
This issue should be fixed in the newly released 1.10.1 plugin version.
Could you please update to it and confirm if the banner still appears? Thanks!

To late, I have found a different plugin!

I’m excited to update and try your new release. Thank you so much for the quick response to this.

    Hello,
The banner went away, however, the library remains installed and active in the post editor, with no means to remove it. We can refuse it but this won’t remove it, as it is now installed…
    Any way forward ?
    Thanks in advance
    Helene

    Hello @helenel,

We have just released a new 1.10.2 version, which should address this.
Could you please confirm if the issue persists after upgrading to the latest WP-Mail-Logging version?

If it does persist, it may help to deactivate and activate again the WP-Mail-Logging plugin, or go to Settings > Redux > Templates > Uncheck both template library checkboxes.

In post editor I am getting a warning notice from the plugin that reads:

    Gutenberg is currently disabled!
The following plugin is preventing Gutenberg from working: Classic Editor. To automatically fix the issue click the Disable Plugin button on the right and Redux will enable it for you.
    Disable Plugin
    No Thanks

I’m hanging in there because this really has been a wonderful tool however this is getting to be a bit much. Can this be solved or doubtful?

    Thanks!

Hold on, I just noticed it has also added Page Templates as well?!

Yes, this is true and very annoying!

By default, a Redux CSS file is now added even in the frontend. Absolutely unacceptable!

Now you have to manually uncheck a checkbox under “Settings” -> “Redux”, to stop this behavior (Tab called “Templates”).

Why does “WP Mail Logging” even need the superfluous Redux Framework anyway? It should not be necessary.

    Hello
Sorry for the belated answer, too much work!
After upgrade of the plugin and unchecking the template in redux, it appears that some traces remain as can be seen in the source code of a page e.g. https://redanalysis.org/2021/11/22/long-covid-and-the-fifth-wave-the-hidden-pandemic/

    </style>
    <meta name=”framework” content=”Redux 4.3.3″ /><link rel=”alternate” hreflang=”en-US” …etc.

I also tried to deactivate Redux, but that was impossible without losing WP Mail Logging.

Thanks for your efforts in solving the problem
    Best regards
    Helene
