If I email in either a single email with several large image attachments, or multiple emails each with one large attachment, Postie will mark them as read and archive them, but does not actually post anything, nor does it import the media. If I send one at a time, so that Postie only ever processes a single email at a time, all attachments import just fine.

I’ve got teachers emailing in pictures of class, and if they send more than one full-resolution image, Postie gets overwhelmed and posts nothing. I can’t really ask them to send 1 photo every 15 minutes.

I have my Media Settings rocketed up to limiting Large photos to 80,000 x 80,000. I’m not sure what other setting to change.

Tried doing a Google search for the solution, but I wasn’t able to find anything. I’m hoping it’s an easy fix. I have the debug reports if it helps.

I suspect you are running out of memory for PHP.

    Easy fix:
Change “Maximum number of emails to process” to “1”
Change “Check for mail every” to “Every 5 minutes”

Additionally you may need to increase the memory. See https://postieplugin.com/faq/fatal-error-memory/

The hosting provider was the culprit. Once I got them to increase the memory allotted to PHP, all was unicorns and rainbows.

Postie is not just the best-supported WordPress plugin I’ve used, but is unquestionably the best-supported piece of software I have ever encountered. Thank you for your awesome responsiveness!

@jdmbaldwin thanks for the kind words.

@seyipo you seemed to have replied to the wrong thread in the wrong plugin.
