Emails were sent out to all my subscribers without me actually doing anything. The only thing I could think of that maybe I did was update your plugin. What do you think is cause of all my subscribers having received emails?

    Hello there,

    Good Day !!!

We’re here to assist you with this one. As per our code there is no way it send mail automatically unless the WooCommerce stock changes hook trigger, we used woocommerce hook to check the status of stock(this is from woocommerce, where that hook trigger upon stock updation – from out of stock to instock). Please make sure in your side is there any stock inventory plugin active and restock product from background automatically?

    Let us know.

    Thanks.

Well I checked the notifications list for any random product that showed an email was sent. Then I checked the product and the product stock is set to 0. It’s been sold 1 time, so that is displaying correct. IF you’re stating that, “Please make sure in your side is there any stock inventory plugin active and restock product from background automatically”, no we don’t have any plugin… All I did was update your plugin, and next thing I know customers were saying was a product in stock that I had not restocked. Then I checked your list and the entire product list that had NO mail sent and red color were now all green and showing mail sent.

This just happened to to me as well. Very frustrating. The products were not back in stock. Something else triggered it.

Bump! See I knew I wasn’t crazy. Thank you for confirming. Now the dev really needs to fix this.

Emails have now been triggered three times without products going back into stock. Something is wrong with this plugin and it is pissing off me and those who have subscribed who keep getting email notifications when products are NOT back in stock.

    Please fix it.

OK, enough is enough. I have moved to another plugin. This one has serious issues that are not being addressed

    Hello,
Same thing here, it is the 3rd time a whole bunch of Back in stock notification are triggered out of nowhere. Putting us in a delcate situation with some clients having to email and apologise and look unprofessional…

Anything we can do to prevent this at all?
We have no Stock Managmeent plugin other than this one, our product aren’t stock mannaged.
The only thing I can think of is a plugin to duplicate variation, as it so happen that we were using this plugin around the time the email were triggered. Maybe you can look into this?

    Duplicate Variations for Woocommerce
    https://demodpvar.karatada.com/documentation.html

All we did then was updating some products variaitons, (adding new ones), but none of the product edited were product with in-stock notification set.

I will keep it on for now, however I willdef move to another plugin if indeed it happens again, sorry.
Apart from this all is really good.. it is just a big issue as it puts us in a difficult situation and without trust… ouch

    cheers

Do yourselves a favor and move all your businesses to Shopify. Apps built that actually work by developers who have to meet standards, if not the apps are pulled. The lack of a good app store and a focus on the site as a blog will forever hold WordPress back.

10 years of wordpress sites, and now all my customers are now on Shopify. Making more money, growing their businesses, hiring new workers, expanding operations.

    Thank you for the tip,

I do have some client on Shopify, it has it good side in terms of ecom.
    Will consider.
But looking after some shoppify site it also has issues at times, no sol is perfect it is all int eh balance.

    cheers
