Emails Received From "WordPress"… WHY?

  • Hello,

    I set-up the Contact-Form-7 and it seems to work pretty well, but I am receiving email (after someone submits the form) “From” “WordPress”
    AND the company name (that I filled in – in the “From” Field in the settings area)…

    WHY? is “WordPress” showing up at all… and how do I get rid of it?

    It looks like this – From: WordPress <company name>

    Mail that comes through the contact form shows “WordPress” as its sender name. How can I change this?

    Yes… I know there is a From Field, and I filled it in with what I wanted it to say, and it is Inserting WordPress in front of what I entered and I do not know why?

    The Link you provided does not give info into any other locations where there might be some other Fields to fill-in…

    Are there Specific Locations where I should look to find these Fields?

    You probably haven’t setup your CF7 form fields correctly.

    If you leave the From: address in the Mail section of the CF7 interface empty, then by default, the WordPress mailer fills in the email’s From: field with [email protected] and the email’s From: name as WordPress.??

    Please include a link to your Contact Form 7 form plus all your input in the Form and Mail sections of the CF7 interface. If others here are able to understand your actual problem, they may be able and willing to offer a possible solution.??
