  • Gmail?

Not sure if this is what is going on with you or if it is a bug or normal operation of cforms 2 but here is the email situation I have found on my set up. I am using cforms in conjunction with a CRM. The emails with in the cforms 2 setup work perfectly for me as well as the data base tracking/logging. That is of course until I set up the form to push the info to the CRM to collect. Once the CRM hooks are set, the emails as well as the database tracking/logging no longer works within cforms 2 itself. So instead I have to send emails to myself and people submitting forms emails from the CRM. This is not a big deal but I really would like to receive an email from the cforms 2 plugin as well as my CRM so I know if something is not working.

Again, I’m not sure of you set up but maybe this will help. Also try try turning on logging and tracking or whatever it is called in the global settings. Also, like postman is saying, I think, Gmail and some other large email services don’t like sending out automated emails in my experience. Hope this helps.

Not gmail, I have an exchange account and a POP account.

Have been using cforms II for a few years now, only have had a problem since about 2 weeks ago.

    Thanks

sorry, not pushing to a CRM either (though I’d like that)

An ‘exchange account’? Managed by who? Do you mean a Live account? Or an Office365 account?

AFAIK, Exchange is a product, not a service. Who is your email service provider?

    Exchange with myhosting

I have Cforms2 working with my internal Exchange 2007 server, but I would assume the configuration should be similar for a hosted Exchange solution. If you had Exchange on premise, you would need to setup a Receive Connector on your Hub Transport to allow un-authenticated connections from a specific IP or range to pass email through the server.

For your hosted Exchange, I would suggest that you contact their tech support and ask them if they will allow and/or configure SMTP relay from the IP address of your WP server.

I just thought I’d update that after a great deal of help from the exchange host, we have established that the issue was with php on my site’s host’s server. The host hasn’t confirmed exactly what the issue was but has fixed the problem. Thanks everyone for your assistance.
