• Hi

I THINK this worked before the booking module added, but as I have said before, I’m trying to get a lot of things working on my site so I apologise if I do any misdiagnosis.

However, I am sure that this is either related to your plugin or ezform calculator, and I am PRETTY sure it was working before the booking module.

    Anyway to the point.

I am not getting email notification of when a booking has been made.

The booking is not so straightforward however and goes through a couple of steps before it goes to check out.

First stage information is collected via a form made from ezform (good plugin btw). This is configured to add the details to a woocommerce product. The woocommerce product is a bookable service, so it uses the check availability gateway to send an email to admin and not collect any payment.

All the other features that I use booster for work perfectly, that is the custom fields appear in the order and in the back end. (they also appear in the email, once I turn the booster plugin off)

However, it just doesn’t fire the email off when the request confirmation button is pressed on the checkout.

    Can you help

  • Hi,

Sorry for the delay. Didn’t have time today to look into this. However I have a couple of questions: could you please recheck if emails are sent if you turn off Booster plugin. What plugin are you using for bookings products (is it Booster or some other)? Do you getting any WooCommerce emails at all (e.g. order completed)?

    Best regards,
    Tom

    Hi Tom

My site isn’t live yet and your support is fast so I’m not worried. ??

OK to answer your question first with booster ON first.
If I order a regular item from the shop it triggers and fires the email no problem. Just tested now and have received order confirmation. However, that is a regular product with no booster magic overlaid.

If I order the bookable product with booster on, I don’t get any confirmation email. Just done it now and nothing. Just turned it off and reordered the same product and received the email and the previous one before. NB. have just noticed that the previous email that came through when booster was on, does not have the custom info on it anymore. So there is something else going on. I think I will have to disable all the plugins again and do some more diagnosis. I don’t know if you want to have alook at my set up, but if you do my email is bieganowski-at-hotmail.com.

I will leave the rest of this email as is because it will give you some idea, but it is technically unfinished and I have to go to work now but don’t want to waste the writing time or flow, if that makes sense.

Remember though that this particular product is generated by a separate form which populates price based on what you add to the form.

I use woocommerce bookings to create the bookable product – it is booking for a cleaning service, so the bookable product requires confirmation, so it uses the gateway request confirmation first, which is the gateway built into the bookings plugin

I use your excellent ?? plugin to do two main things on this product. First, I add custom fields to the product on checkout and I restrict payment gateways for that product. That is the product can only use the confirmation gateway, and then the bacs gateway when the order has been confirmed and the work carried out. (it’s so excellent that I can do this!) ?? (ps To make that order perfect I would like to disable the order notes field in that one order, is there any way to do that,as I only want the customer to see and use custom fields.)

    ***************unrelated to this thread**************
(on a completely unrelated side topic can you make your plugin popup messages on checkout if two different payment gateways are been used. Most of my other items for sale just check out with PayPal, but a few have cash on collection. I still haven’t managed to find a successful way of adding a message at check out, the best I’ve done is found a code snippet that disables one gateway if another product is in the cart with another gateway.) I will raise this later on a different thread.

Like I said before, I think before you had your bookings module, the email always triggered but it did not add the custom field information I created on the back end or in the email, although it always showed up in the customer’s confirmation email.

Now that you have the booking module, which I didn’t realise was a standalone feature. I thought your bookings module was to allow integration with woocommerce bookings. I just enable it then didn’t do anything with it at the product level. It works in that respect as it seems to have allowed the custom fields to show up on the orders, which is great. I’d love to know if all the info should show up in the admin email as this would be brilliant, but as long as it shows up at the back end its fine)

    Hi,

Again, sorry for the delay. Could you please contact me at [email protected] for further support.

    Best regards,
    Tom
