    My subscriptions in digest mode stopped being sent to any of my users.

    I have checked the cron job and it’s running but no e-mails.

    I sent an email using the send email feature and it worked fine.

    They clicked the “Resend Digest” button and the last digest was sent to all users successfully.

    Any idea why through the cron job it’s not sending the e-mail to anyone?

  • @joe7670,

    Have a look at the suggestions here:
    https://subscribe2.wordpress.com/2013/09/17/troubleshooting-emails-in-subscribe2/

    Especially try adding am email logger to your site. Then we can see if this is an email generation or sending issue. If emails do appear in the log but don’t worry you need to speak with your hosting provider. If emails don’t appear in the log then we need to have a look Subscribe2 Settings.

    So turns out emails are showing up in the log. Is the automated email different from pressing the “Resend Digest” Any idea why the Resend Digest would work and not the automated e-mail? Mind you both are showing up in my email log so I understand it’s probably not a Subscribe2 issue composing the email.

    What do users typically do if they are exceeding the hosting companies limit?

    @joe7670,

    Firstly, you need to speak to your hosting provider, see if they can raise any limits for you when you explain what you are trying to do. If this is not possible you should still talk to them about the best way to operate your site as you want it to operate but within their restrictions.

    You might find a ‘throttling’ plugin useful that stages email sending, like my one here:

    Thanks for the info! Connected via an SMTP plugin and found my provider’s limits.
