    Dear whom it may concern,

    Recently after the 4.4 update I do not receive any emails.

    Apparently, the only way to fix this error is to change the “From” settings in your contact form to have the senders address to be your own email address or another email address from your web server.

    I have created an email from the host with my domain name, yet this still does not work.

    What could be causing the problem?

  • I tried everything. still not working. I created email with domain name and use email settings properly. still not working but I saw one thin it sending email to admin email address (which is my personal email) but not the email I configured to the form itself. hmmm so upset. I think author must release new version for this

    I switched to Gravity Forms on one of my websites and everyone seems pleased with it.

    @jtwordpress
    Did you check ‘authenticate’?

    Yes.

    Kstone and jt,

    It seems like your hosts smtp details arent correct.

    – The same smtp settings work on my other computer in my Outlook.

    It could either be that, or you have put in the wrong information.

    – It’s definitely correct.

    I THINK THE EMAIL AND THE PASSWORD ARE INCORRECT IF IT DOES NOT AUTHENTICATE.

    – They are definitely correct. I tested them in my GoDaddy webmail.

    @jtwordpress

    Could you show me a picture of your from email with the syntax error?

    – It’s no longer showing the syntax error flag when I put in [RNConvention] <[email protected]> into the “From” field.

    – I don’t think my issue has anything to do with the emailing process (smtp) as I’m not getting any emailing error messages, I’m just getting the spinning arrows after clicking the “Send” button, which to me says that it is not even getting to the ‘send email’ part of the coding, but that there is a conflict with the java, plugin, WP update, etc.

    @marc2412
    I just tried checking off “Use the PHP mail() function to send emails.” instead of “Send all WordPress emails via SMTP.” and I got

    bool(true)

    But it also came up “true” whether I used port 465 (for my SSL) or port 80 that my other email addresses use in Outlook. It also came up “true” when I check off “No encryption” or “Use SSL encryption”.

    And I received all 3 test emails.

    However, my arrows are still just spinning when I test my forms, and yes I cleared my plugin cache.

    Hi
    I have same problem
    I have a problem with all notifications in our website like: comments & contact forms.
    I tried more plugins like:
    1- Contact Form By: Jetpack Pluging
    2- Contact form 7 By: Takayuki Miyoshi
    3- Contact form maker By: WebDorado
    and I tried to send a test email by WP-Mail-SMTP plugin but I did not get any Result

    I don’t know if the problem from the server, hosting

    Could you advise us please how can we fix this problem, because we lose to many of our customers.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi guys
    I had the same problem with my contact form not sending emails to my private email. When I contacted an administrator of the server (I use Namecheap) then he advised me to install WP Mail SMTP plugin and opened SMTP port on the server. After the plugin’s setup email started sending!
    Hope it helps)))

    Has any one managed to fix this issue as I have had this since updating to Wp 4.7. It only happens with some customer email addresses and not others and it is not mail host specific.

    @pedroverdi; make that 2, I’m also facing the issue.. Now configuring another form plugin..

    Had the same problem with wp 4.7 and contact form 7.

    I have installed the WP SMTP Plugin and enabled the Use the PHP mail() function to send emails and checked the Return Path Set the return-path to match the From Email

    I’m having the same issue since switching hosts – not receiving any admin emails – comments, feedback, new orders, new posts, etc

    I did have the same issue where I wasn’t receiving the emails sent via CF7.

    In my case i fixed it by ensuring that I had the To mailbox setup on my host. Sounds silly but a lot of people might host their emails via gmail etc… you still need your CF7 To email setup at your host it appears.

    I host all my business emails with Google Business and expected the CF7 mail to be properly routed but it wasn’t the case as i did not have the mailbox at my host.

    I hope this helps some of you.

    Hi Guys

    I am having an issue with the receiving of mails from my WP site. The form executes the submission and says it has been executed sucessfully but I am not receiving mails. I am using the MedicalPro Theme. I have contacted the authors but they are not getting back to me.

    My site is https://knaudiology.giveitaface.co.za/contact-us/

    Please can someone help… I am going nowhere fast

    @miashai04

    What ‘To’ and ‘From’ emails are you using? What’s the admin email you’re using?

    Make sure your form email exists on your mail server. Get back in touch and i’ll try and help.
