    Hi, I think I need some help troubleshooting the following problem:

    I′ve been using this plugin for years know without any trouble but suddenly I don′t receive notification mails any more (no matter what receiver address). The test mails are sent correctly to every receiver I tested.

    The Email Logs plugin claims that the notification emails are sent.

    The notification is activated for “new post pending”

    Thanks for your message.

    If the email log shows you that emails are being sent, then the issue normally lies outside of WordPress.
    If you haven’t already, it’s worth setting up SMTP on your site. This usually solves it. I use the Post SMTP plugin as it comes with SMTP settings and an Email Log.
    If you have it set-up and other emails work from your site, such as ones not sent by BNFW, please let me know so we can investigate further.

    I tried setting up Post SMTP and that solved the problem.

    I wonder a little, because only the notifications did not work and all other mails were sent. But now everything works again, so I will leave it like this.

    Hi @khoehne,
    Great, glad you got it working.

    I think it’s because the email headers get changed so some providers block the emails because it doesn’t appear they’re coming from WordPress anymore. As soon as you add SMTP, it sends it through a reputable source. It seems to vary from hosting provider to hosting provider whether it does this. Hope this makes sense.
