  • Hi,

I am very sorry to hear that you facing theses problems, and I’m glad to say that our team was working very hard to deliver this bugfix for our users this last few days.

The result of this work, is that we have a Beta Version that will fix the problems you’ve reported.

To change your plugin to be on par with the Beta releases I’ve made a video to show you how to do it, click here to access it on Vimeo.

If this fix doesn’t resolve your problems please reply with the problems you are facing and I will do my best to resolve them.

    My Best Regards,

What should we do after switching to beta? I’ve seen no option related to responsivenen. I opened an already existing automatic newsletter, then sent myself a test, and it’s still non-responsive.

    Sorry David M,

I was saying that we don’t offer responsive yet, but when then come you will be able to try them in out beta version first.

    My Best Regards,

I love this plugin, however it does not look good in Android Mobile Phone and Samsung tab 3 10 inch depending on the app that is used.

In the outlook app it shows every image but not responsive, in another app ( Aqua mail “it does not show images what so ever, even if in the app settings “show images” is activated.

In read responsive design would be addressed starting from 2.6 but I have 2.6.6 installed and still having issues.

I hope this can be fixed soon, really love this plugin apart from that!!

    Thanks,
    Annie

Oh wait, the Beta is already available in my dashboard, great I will try and let you know if this works!

    Hello,

I installed the Beta and here are my findings.

On the Android ( Samsung Galaxy tab 3 10 inch ) things look ok now.
Even the outlook app shows the images and looks responsive.

However on my Android Samsung Galaxy S2 Mobile Phone things still are not responsive and I need to scroll from left to right to get all the text and images.

Just received an e-mail saying MailPoet is being rewritten to keep up.
I am looking forward to the new update, thanks for all the hard work!

    Annie, thanks for reporting.

Tegarding the native app of “old” Androids, such as the Samsung S2, I doubt that we’ll make it completely responsive. These readers will simply have to scroll horizontally for now.

    Hello,

Ok, I get that the S2 is an “older version” but other plugins who claim responsiveness do look good even on an older version.

For now, it helps to only insert images no larger than 600 px then it looks good in Samsung s2 as well.

However a client with iPhone5 reported the same thing ( if not using a max of 600 px width ) so it is not only on the samsung S2.

Anyway I just love your plugin!! ??

    Thx,
    Annie

Annie, we are aware of display issues in iPhone 5s, and we will most probably work on them, rest assured.

Responsiveness in emailing is not easy, and it’s not perfect across the board. There will always be trade offs, but we’ll always focus on the main email clients.

In any case, we always appreciate screenshots and feedback, so don’t hesitate!

    Hello,

Ok, I will wait for the big update where you add the responsiveness and let you know or send screenshots if some things dont go the way they are supposed too.

I understand it is not an easy task, more a nightmare haha considering all the external factors that need to be taken in consideration.

    Thanks for your hard work!
    Annie
