Emails not received

We sent our newsletter yesterday to almost 600 subscribers, but most people have not received the email (including us at our own email addresses).
MailPoet says that it sent to all subscribers successfully, but only about 5% of people have opened it (normally we would have much more than that by now).
I know it can’t have sent successfully because none of us received it. But why would some people have received it and most people not?

None of the info in that has helped yet.
We send through our own server (not a third party) and have limited MailPoet to our host’s limit of 100 emails per hour.
