I’ve been using this plugin for 8 months and had been working fine until a point. I do not know when this started happening, but I am seeing it on at least 2 of my WordPress sites on different domains. I installed Contact Form 7 and it works just fine, but VSCF doesn’t (and I’d prefer this one to CF7). I am not seeing any error message, the page appears to reload when hitting submit, but nothing else happens; the form is still filled and there is no message indicating anything was sent (nor failed).

    Is anyone else seeing this?

    Hi Nicky,

This is strange. Did you also try in another browser?

Do you have an URL of your site so I can check this myself?

I had replaced the form on both sites with another form, but I hate it, so took it down and re-activated VSCF on one site: https://www.nowwerecookin.org/contact/

I’m using Firefox v61.0.1. However, I updated my Chrome just now to v68 and it works. So apparently it’s a Firefox issue, which is irritating because that’s what approximately half of my visitors use. ??

Ok, will take a look at this within several days and test it myself with Firefox. Currently only having an iPad.

    Will keep you informed.
Form works fine in the native iPad browser btw ??

Er … if you filled out and submitted the form, it didn’t send. I haven’t received anything.

I did send a test submission via the form on your site few moments ago. Via my iPad.

If you don’t receive it your email provider might have marked these kind of submissions as spam. Because if submission failed because of technical server reasons there should be an error notification after pressing submit.

I still gonna check it using Firefox later today.

This is so weird. It’s working now. And absolutely nothing has changed. (maybe it just needed the threat of you looking at it?)

    Hi Nicky,

Fortunately it’s fixed. I still think it might be the caching plugin you’re using. Because when you turned it off (as you mentioned in your email) there was no problem anymore. But I don’t know this for sure.

I have not had any further issues, thanks again for your help. ??

FYI: next plugin update will fix the annoying unexpected backslash in the form submission, that is added before the quote of your site name (Now We’re Cookin’).

    Oh awesome, thank you! ??

Same exact experience with me: all browsers except Firefox seem to work. Can’t trace it to specific time, but discovered it a couple of weeks ago and have been racking my brain how to fix it.
Can you, please, take a look at the VSCF at raffiworks.com/contact and advise?

    Many Thanks,

    Hi Raffi,

Just send a test submission via Firefox 64.0.2 but it seems to work fine here. No strange behavior in frontend at least.

    Guido
ps. could you please open your own thread next time?

Thanks for checking, Guido. Got the email from you. Sorry, but same result from FireFox (no email) here. Same version here, 64 bit Windows 10. Cache cleaned up. At a loss of what to do.

In other news the Captcha number has been the same for several cycles.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

I’ve simplyfied the Captcha because I’ve removed the PHP session method which the old captcha was using. It wasn’t stable enough. The Captcha changes every day now.

Don’t no why it doens’t work properly with your Firefox. So I don’t have a fix for that, because over here it’s working fine. And unfortunately did not find interesting info about this via Google.

    Guido

I appreciate your looking into it even though it did not fix my problem. FYI, Firefox works just fine on my iPad.

    Raffi
