Emails no longer sent with PHP8.1

    We upgraded to PHP8.1 with WP SMTP 2.8.0 and it didn’t work (expected because it says PHP 8 was unsupported back then) – so we upgraded to 3.7.0, but still it doesn’t work – nothing is sent from the email test.

    We rolled back to PHP7.4 and it works again.

    Has this been seen before? I manually sent a test email from our Gmail account and it arrived fine.

    Hi @slapbox,

    Are you seeing any issues in your Debug log in WP Mail SMTP? Or are there any issues in your WordPress Debug log? Also, when you hit submit to send a test email, does it appear to send successfully? If you can let us know that should help determine what may be happening.

    Thanks for your reply @dpinson. Interestingly everything seems to work properly today when I re-enabled PHP 8.1 to test this. If I run into any more trouble, I’ll update this issue.
