I have a client who is using Woocommerce on a WordPress without a glitch but one thing is causing her clients to query the communications after purchase.

    Details:
I have several WordPress sites hosted under my hosting package with bluehost for which I have a main domain registered with the product, each of those sites of course with their own domain names, directories and databases. All the settings within Woocommerce work in terms of the ‘from email’ but a couple of her clients have emails (in Gmail) that display: ‘Site Name (correct)’ VIA my hosting account domain. This of course has nothing to do with her business and is concerning customers.

It’s weird because the Woocommerce plugin was installed in the client’s website and hasn’t got much to do with my hosting account.

Any ideas would be hugely appreciated!

  • I think it has something to do with DNS SPF record or DMARC. One of the common issues is that the domain it was sent from doesn’t match the domain in the “From:” address.

    To fix the issue:

    • Publish an SPF record that includes the IPs of the vendor or affiliates which send your messages.
    • Sign your messages with a DKIM signature that is associated with your domain.
    • Make sure the domain in the “From:” address matches the domain you’re using to authenticate your emails.
