Emails By Type

Hello,
we use your plugin and we want to have personal emails for each level of three types of rank.
We installed the email by type add-on.
We read that if we want to receive personal emails according to the level and type of rank, we must leave a blank email template in the settings of gamipress.Is that correct?
Because we do not get it by deleting the content of the template and saving it, the content is automatically restored and we receive the template email, not the one we entered with the addition email by type.

That addon has a settings hierarchy as we explain in the addon description section.
1st Priority: Single item (achievement or rank) settings (if it is empty, it will apply the 2nd priority)
2nd Priority: Type settings (achievement or rank type) (if it is empty, it will apply the 3rd priority)
3rd Priority: Emails settingsYou only have to type the content of email on single item setting page or achievement/rank setting page.

We have email set up on item level and on email settings.But still on a change of rank system sends email settings level email, not item settings email. So the question is how to make it so.
On type level the email is empty.
But if we try to empty email settings email system won’t let us.
We have tested this behaviour in our services and works ok, please send us screenshots of the following pages:
– GamiPress Level: GamiPress > Settings > Email and please activate the Rank tab or the one you have been experienced the problem.
– GamiPress Achievement Type/Rank Type level: Achievement Type or Rank Type > Edit the Achievement Type or Rank Type > The config page with special attention of email metabox.
– GamiPress Item Archivement Type/Rank Type level: Go to Archievements / Ranks > one achievement/rank > choose a item achievement/rank, and email config metabox.
You can use an upload images service as imgur.com to share your screenshot. Make sure you do not publish any compromised data on your screenshots.

You have everything ok, the only thing we think it could fail is you are config a rank which actually your user or test user has not already get or that user is getting another rank that is not configured on rank item level.
Please, check that and try with another user test in a different browser or/with private mode activating.
If you still with problems, please make a conflict test https://gamipress.com/docs/troubleshooting/theme-and-plugins-conflict-test/ and if does not work either, please write to us from our support form and there, you can give us an admin password and user to check your site.

The workflow of Emails By Type is extremely simple
By default, the unique email settings existent are the settings on GamiPress -> Settings -> Emails
Emails By Type add 2 new levels of configuration, 1 on the “type” screen and other on “single” items and the way they work are:
1) Single element: If you have entered anything on your rank email settings GamiPress will use this template
2) Type settings: If there is NO content on the “single” element, then GamiPress checks the type settings
3) Email settings: If there is NO content on “single” and “type” elements, then GamiPress will end using the email settings from GamiPress -> Settings -> Emails
For your issue, please, check if you are earning the correct rank where you have configured the email options
Also, check it with a test account:
1) Create a new user (with an email you have access to receive emails)
2) Earn with this user the rank you want a custom email templateAlso, something IMPORTANT to prevent to get confused are the “rank” emails and the “rank requirements” emails
Your ranks has requirements like “Comment on a post”, “Visit a post”, etc, and GamiPress sends an email per each requirement completed, for that, you are receiving emails of your requirements and your ranks so you need to be sure you are configure the template you really want to override
We have already tested this setup and is working correctly in our end

we understand well what you are explaining to us, this is written in the documentation, but in fact it does not work.We’re interested in Ranks. In ranks we have three options: Game, Level, Bonus
We only look at Level. And more specifically Level1I explain:
We assign the following text to the e-mail template with priority 1: Level 1We set the e-mail template rank type with priority 2 the following text: Rank Type
We set the e-mail template Email settings with priority 3 the following text: Email settings
When we change the level of user TEST, the level from New Player (starting level for each user) to Level 1
We receive this email in the TEST user’s mailbox:Rank Type

You “Level 1” is the level with the lowest priority or is the second level?
I mean, do you have a “Level 0”? Keep in mind that first rank is always assigned to your users, so users are no able to earn the first rank, only the second rankTry the following:
1) Assign different email texts to Levels 1, 2, 3
2) Create a new test account, and unlock the three levels by completing its requirements
3) Check the emails you have receivedHope it helps

Yes, we have Level 0 and we are aware that only rank 2 can be earned (in our case level 1)
Yes, we have already done it, yesterday we created a new user Goro and he receives the same emails that we sent to you.As we explained 5 days ago on @flabernardez, in the same communication here: We want to use Rank type customized and manually apply user rewards through the admin panel.
