email wont download from server until I refresh??

I recently set up my secret email account to post from and i noticed that when I send an email to the account it just sits on the server all day and never posts until I actually refresh the blog page. After a refresh the email is then posted and removed from the server. It seemed kind of odd to me. Any suggestions on how to get the email to post immediately?
