Email Verification simply DOES.NOT.WORK.

As a workaround you can add ?rsssl_force_verification To the admin url, this will finish the verification.

We haven’t been able to reproduce an issue yet, but we’re aware that this happens on some configurations. Just not sure what the cause is yet. Maybe a security plugin is stripping the variable from the url.

I can not find any new posts in this thread, so I’m not quite sure where I should find that message.

As suggested by @rogierlankhorst: you can navigate to the “Settings” tab in the Really Simple SSL plugin once more, and add ?rsssl_force_verification behind the URL of this page and visit it; which should force complete the verification.

If that doesn’t work either, try copying the verification link from the e-mail to a browser tab where you’re already logged in as an admin on WordPress. That often helps to resolve such issues.

Did you give the second method a try as well, to copy the verification link from the e-mail to a browser tab where you’re already logged in to WordPress?

As a last resort, you could instead use this code snippet to force verify the e-mail address: force-email-verify.php

Save it as a .php file and place it in the /wp-content/mu-plugins/ folder on your site, and the e-mail address will be verified after visiting the Settings page in Really Simple SSL once more. Make sure to remove the file again after you’ve done so.
