email verification: getting mail, clicks, but does not mark as verified

I’ve made some attempts at replicating the described issue, and while I wasn’t initially able to get the same behavior to appear on my end, after repeated attempts I seem to have triggered the same issue.

We will investigate further what the cause might be, and post any further updates here when available.

We have created a branch of the plugin which will log further debugging information about the e-mail verification process, so that we can see where in the process this issue might arise.

Could you install the above version of the Really Simple SSL plugin, enable debugging on your WordPress site with a plugin such as WP Debugging, and then walk through the e-mail verification process once more?

After you’ve done this, a debug.log file should now be available (typically in the /wp-content folder) on your environment, which contains these logs. Could you send us a message on support(at)really-simple-ssl.com and attach the aforementioned log file?

That would allow us to look further into this.
