Email Verification

I know there is an add-on that will verify an email by sending an email to that address but wondering if there is a simple feature that just checks that there is actually a valid email address in that field.

Right now, you could write “anything” in the email field. It would be nice to have a feature that just confirms it’s a legitimate email address with out having to send an email. Does that exist?
