Hi, I am using this great plugin on a wordpress/buddypress install to allow committee members to email all registered members.

However I seem to have come across an anomaly that I’m not sure is how the plugin is designed to work or if it’s a problem somewhere else.

When a user with email capabilities uses the plugin to email all members by role, it seems to send to everyone apart from the member who is sending the email. Is this correct behaviour? Although the user is one of the roles being sent to they don’t get an email.

I have tested this and it does seem to be the case. Is there a way I can change this so that all users in a role including the user sending the email receive the message?

    Thanks for your help.

Yes, this is expected behavior. To do what you want the mail header will need to have a new option to include the sender. It isn’t impossible nor particularly difficult but it doesn’t exist right now.

Basically a new option to include the sender would need to be added to the plugin settings and then recognized when the list of recipients is put together. By default, the user ID for the user sending the email is always excluded from the recipient list.

Beta version of 4.3.15 which includes an enhancement via a new option on the Plugin Settings Page for this is now available for testing! Let me know if you run into any issues.

This functionality has been introduced in v4.3.15 which was released yesterday.
