Email type changing back to New Order

Hi, I am unable to change the drop down to half of the options. Every time I click an option to try to edit an email type it changes back to New Order. Some options work, but most reload the page and switch back to New Order. I saw someone else posted about this a few years ago but did not find a solution, so hoping I have better luck.

Also, I have Woocommerce Subscriptions installed and some of the options for emails regarding renewal orders require a template order containing a subscription to be able to edit it, however I don’t have an option to change the template order to a subscription order, just standard ones.
