Two things I’m confused about: I set up the WP paypal cart, and I did a test purchase.

First, I didn’t get the ’email to buyer’ that I’d set up in the “Email Settings” area of WP Shopping Cart. I did get the confirmation from ‘service@paypal’ or whatever it is called. But where would the plugin even get the buyer’s email address? I didn’t get the seller sale confirmation from wordpress either, only from paypal.

Second, I set up a return URL thank you page where the buyer is supposed to be redirected after purchase. I wasn’t redirected there; after payment I was still on paypal, but had the option to click on ‘return to website’ (paraphrasing). Does a buyer have to click on that to get automatically back to the thank you page?

    thanks for any help

Sorry, I didn’t see we’d gone onto a second page – do you mean deactivate, then reactivate? Or to completely delete it and then reinstall it again?

Yes, completely delete it and install it again. If that does not work then one more action you can take. Test a WordPress default theme like Twenty Thirteen. Remember make sure that all your other plugins are deactivated while carrying out these test.

Also make sure that if you have a cache plugin installed that you delete the plugin cache.

And also make sure you have a latest backup just in case something goes wrong.

I reinstalled the plugin, and tried Twenty Thirteen. No effect, the warning is still there.

“Also make sure that if you have a cache plugin installed that you delete the plugin cache.”

Can you elaborate, I’m not sure what this means or how to do it.

The plugins I have installed are the shopping cart, Akismet, Disable Comments, and Spam Free WordPress, if that makes any difference.

OK, it seems that a cache plugin is something completely separate, so no, I don’t have that installed. I guess I’m stuck with the warning. I do appreciate all of the time and effort you have put in with me this morning, thank you.

    What the following message means

“Also make sure that if you have a cache plugin installed that you delete the plugin cache.”

Have you installed a cache plugin on your website like WP Super Cache, or hyper cache, or WP Fastest Cache etc…if you have can you delete the cache.

    (@fgilles02420)

No, nothing like that is installed. Just the four I mentioned above.

Sorry but I am out of ideas for now. One of the plugin developers will investigate this further.

    Kind regards

Hi @fgilles02420, has your issue being resolved?

No, I haven’t heard back since I submitted the form – the warning message at the top of the return landing page is still there:

@fgilles02420, I never got a contact submission from you in my inbox. Could you please try and submit it one more time?

I just resubmitted it – please note that the form seems to be for paid plugins, so I had to select one (I just picked WP estore even though that isn’t the one I have)

    thanks
