    I’ve tried the following ways to change the email templates in Japanese and it’s not working.

    dashboard >> ultimate member >> settings >> mail >> setting icon >> put japanese text and save, it keeps getting back to the default english text

    child-theme > ultimate-member > templates > email > ja : the right locale

    child-theme > ultimate-member > templates > email > ja_JP the locale used by UM.

    And put the template i wanted to change and modify it. But it’s not showing. Any advice ?

    Look at your active theme’s folder for the directory permissions
    for the “ultimate-member” folder explained in this guide:

    Hello @emmamiumiu,

    You don’t need templates folder for emails.
    You don’t need locale folders if you don’t use multilingual plugin.

    Verify that the directory wp-content/themes/{CHILD_THEME}/ultimate-member/email/ exists and is writable.
