I installed Wordfence (free version) last week and have unchecked (and saved) “Enable email summary” on all sites, yet I got weekly reports (on Monday) by email like “Wordfence activity for <date> on <site>” from all sites I installed it on.

Edit: Maybe the job just didn’t get unscheduled and after running won’t be scheduled again hopefully (?).

  • Hi,
If you disabled “Email Summary” option from the plugin’s options page, then you shouldn’t have any “wordfence_email_activity_report” cron job listed in “Wordfence > Tools => Diagnostics => Cron Jobs”, could you please double check that?

    Thanks.

    Thank you for your reply.

Currently there is no such job scheduled there.

Maybe it’s a one time thing when the setting is changed.
I try to check that job scheduling next time on a new installation.

If it’s okay, I will wait till next Monday and see if it happens again then (I guess / hope it won’t) and if not will close this as solved by then?

Yes, that’s fine, let me know how it goes.

    Thanks!

Okay, it didn’t happen again. Maybe it only happens the first time.

    Thank you for your time.
