Hi I had posted this last week but I never got a response, possibly because it was marked as resolved.

I am still having issues. The purpose of using plug in was to have a cool looking coming soon page, but also to collect customer information from launch. I was assuming that when someone enters their email address, I would get an email WITH their email address. I am still not getting an email, even in my spam. I’ve tried with my work email and nothing is coming into my email or spam box…the email I included on the back end. I do want to continue to use the plug in because it is exactly what I was looking for….but if I send ppl to my site soon… I want to make sure I’m getting their emails when sending..but doesn’t seem to be consistent or to be working. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

  • Hi,

I’m so sorry for a delay in my response. ??

As for the email sending method. Plugin is acutally using default WordPress mailer to send emails with subscribers info to you. So, if the emails are not incoming, your host is most likely blocked php mail and thus you’ll need to use SMTP to send your emails from your WordPress website. It should be easy to setup as there is a free WordPress SMTP plugin that will do this for you, but you will need to create real email address with password in your cPanel and enter those credentials in the plugin settings and save changes.
Once you set the sending using SMTP, you will surely receive needed subscriptions right away.

From the latest plugin update, you can also disable theme built in subscription form and use MailChip form by pasting their form embed code inside the plugins option page.

I hope this was helpful enough.

Let me know if there is anything else needed.
