Email sent through Contact Form 7 ends up in Spam

  • I set up a contact form 7 on a site that is on the latest version of WordPress (4.5.3). The contact form works and sends out the email to the receiver but all the mail is ending up in spam.

    Having read through the articles here, I verified that:
    The to address is a valid address on the same domain.
    The from address is a valid address on the same domain.
    I added a phone number field to the form which is correctly sending the phone number.

    Any tips on how to fix this?
