    I’m sorry to hear this is still causing issues for you. I would recommend a couple of options as next steps:

    1) Instead of using the wp-config option, you could consider simply entering the password onto the standard settings page.

    2) If you’d like a more secure approach, you could instead use a different mailer option. All other mailer options within WP Mail SMTP are more secure than the “Other SMTP” option. Here’s our list of recommended options, and this includes links to specific tutorials on each.
