    Dear all,

    following scenario:

Someone subscribes to my email list and then starts receiving my 14-day automated email sequence. This sequence aims to sell a product at the end of the period. Towards the end of the sequence i offer the product for a discounted price.

If the person purchases that product before the end of the ongoing campaign, i would like to have him removed from that campaign (so he does not know about the discount he could have had) and moved into another email campaign that is made for the product he just purchased.

Is that possible through segmentation or any other action with mailpoet?

Thank you and best regards for your assistance,
    Thomas

    Hi there Thomas,

While the WooCommerce Abandoned Cart emails will automatically be cancelled when a customer purchases a product during a campaign, there is no built-in way to auto-cancel an automated email sequence like that using Welcome Emails (i.e. your 14-day sequence after subscribing).

List Segments, meanwhile, are dynamic and will update based on the conditions defined. However, with the current functionality related to WooCommerce product purchases, you can send to customers who have purchased a product/category, but not send only to ones who have not purchased a product (i.e. in your example where you want the email to be cancelled and not send after they purchase the product).

Perhaps an alternative would be the AutomateWoo plugin, which would allow you to set Rules on the emails so that they are only sent when someone has NOT purchased a product:
    https://woocommerce.com/products/automatewoo/

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

    Hi Kelly,

thank you for the quick and precise response, that answers the question very well.

I settled for active campaign now, as there are many ways to optimize automated marketing. Even though it’s a bit more expensive i think it’ll be well worth it.

So this is a functionality that Mailpoet might want to add to its repertoire in the future ??

    Thanks again and many greetings,
    Thomas

    Hi there @kaiserspirit,

Thank you for the feedback here. I see on our feedback/requests board that segmentation options for customers that have NOT purchased a product are currently marked as Planned (status changed 2 weeks ago on Nov 16th!). So hopefully we will see that in a near-future version of the plugin:

Sorry to hear you decided to go with Active Campaign instead, but hope it works out for you!

I’ll mark this as resovled for now, but please feel free to open a new thread if you have any other questions. Thank you again, and have a good one!
