No. The FROM header of an email has to be set to an address that the server sending the email is allowed to send from. For example, if your customer entered [email protected]
and your server sent the email FROM that address, other email servers would reject is as spam because your server is not allowed to pretend to be gmail.com
.
Instead, the plugin uses the REPLY-TO header to set the customer’s email address. Most email clients recognize this and use this email when replying. If your email client is not doing this, there may be a setting you can use to make it do so.
