email post shows format code

  • Hi, Newly installed wordpress 1.5.1.1 – I got email posting working but the posts have a lot of format characters around them. I’m posting from outlook 2003, and have tried also from a blog posting program with the same results. You can see the error at https://www.sleepabc.com/wordpress/

  • Yip had the the same issue as it seems wp-mail does not handle mime emails properly. If you sent the email in text only format it would have been fine.

    Otherwise check the plugins section for alternative email handling posting things.

    Putting the email in text mode fixed the problem. Thanks for the quick response. I’m a happy blogger!!
