Email notifier Test?

  • I think I’m missing something basic here. I installed the plugin and hit test but did not get a test email. I realize that there is nowhere to configure how the plugin sends email (smtp, pop, server settings, etc) – where do I do this? I’m guessing I’m missing something basic here and would appreciate any pointers. Running latest plugin on WP 3.5.1 on IIS/PHP/SQLServer install. Thanks in advance!

    nvm, duh – one has to get the “normal” email via wp functional first. Hope this helps another WP newbie – I ended up using the “Configure SMTP” plugin and was able to receive a test email. I chose that plugin so that I could use TLS and smtp auth with our smtp server.

    Anyway, next problem: I am not getting and update on newer plugins, even though the plugins are out of date…..
