Email notifications not working

Hi
Please help me to set up email notifications so that customers get a notification to their provided email address whenever I submit a reponse
I have followed the documentation to try and set it up but it doesn’t work.
When I respond to registered customer tickets, they do not get a notification to tell them that there has been a response
