• Up until yesterday morning I always received email notifications when a comment was left on my site. It has been working for 3 years without a hitch.

For no apparent reason, I no longer get an email sent to me. Nothing has changed with my blog. No new plug-ins, no updates, NOTHING has changed.

I am still able to receive other email at the address I am using.

I changed the email address in WP to another working address and still, no emails were sent to that address either.

I spent 2+ hours with tech support from my hosting company and they can find nothing wrong with my mail servers.

I have tried everything and have more than triple checked all of my settings. The email notifications form WP simply no longer work.

    Anyone?

-deactivating all plugins. If the problem goes away, activate them individually to find the culprit?

If you don’t have access to to your admin area, try deactivating them manually via FTP or phpMyAdmin.

-switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific issue?

If you don’t have access to your admin area, then access your server via FTP or SFTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

T-P, Thanks, I have tried all of that already. Something very weird is going on because it literally just stopped working even though absolutely no changes or updates were made to my blog.

Just double check your settings in the dashboard:

    dashboard – setting – discussion

    E-mail me whenever

    Before a comment appears

Yeah, that’s all set correctly too.
