Hi! Still in love with your plugin. Thank you for your hard work!

Right now I’m building a multilingual site (EN-ES-NL). However, I’m having issues translating the emails with qTranslate-XT. Even though I’m booking my events in the second or third language (ES/NL), I’m still getting the emails in the first language (EN). The messages are correctly translated, as well as the names of the events, etc. My issue only affects the email notifications. I’ve read thoroughly the support forum, but no one seemed to have this issue before me. :·/

Is there any tweak I can perform in order to make it work? Any setting on qTranslate-XT I’ve might missed and you may be familiar with? Thank you in advance!

BTW, Woocommerce’s core emails are correctly translated and submitted to users, according to the language in which they booked their events. I had to translate a few frontend strings with Loco Translate (“Event”, “Status”, “Actions”, “You can also manage your Bookings”, etc.), but the notification translation problem persists. Thank you!

Hello, glad you enjoy Booking Activities! You are most welcome ??

Booking Activities emails are based on the user language: from the admin panel, go to Users > click the user you are using to make the test orders > Set the “Language” to the desired language (“Site default” is not recommended, because the notifications will be sent in the site language at the sending time, even when they are not triggered by the customer).

You don’t need to use Loco Translate to translate Booking Activities’ strings (see this docs). Using two language plugins may result in conflicts, can you also try to disable Loco Translate?

Thank you! I’ll make tests with the information you’re providing. You’re right, I was reluctant to use Loco Translate for those strings (the ones of the “My Account” page, etc.), but I guess it’s time to contribute to your amazing plugin helping out with the repository translation ;o) (“Loco” is amazing, but, dare I say, it doesn’t promote community workflow, which is the basis of WordPress). Excellent support, as always! My love (for Booking Activities) will go on! Marking as resolved. Have a nice week!

    Thanks a lot!

Publishing your translation is optional, but would be most appreciated and helpful indeed!

On a side note, Booking Activities also supports WPML now (since May 2022).

Yes, I know. I shouted out for a WPML-support back then, as well as in my plugin review. :o) I’m happily and seamlessly using it on a different project.
