Email notifications not sent for moderated topics?

  • Hi… I have BuddyPress and bbPress with the Notifications component active. So when a topic is posted to a forum, an email is sent to all subscribers to that forum.

    But I also have bbPress Moderation installed and set to moderate the first topic or reply from a user. I find that no email notifications to subscribers are sent once a topic is approved.

    I have confirmed this with only the necessary plugins activated.

    Ideas anyone?

    I’ve looked further at this. If the topic or reply is not held for moderation, there is an action from the front end to bbp_notify_forum_subscribers or bpp_notify_topic_subscribers as appropriate.

    If the post is held for moderation these actions are not fired (correctly) and the post is marked ‘pending’.

    Trouble is an admin/moderator approves them by publishing from the backend which does not do these actions.

    I would love the plugin author to look at this.
