    Hi,
    I’m confused.
I started a wordpress.com site. Got some subscribers. Then went to a self-hosted site and imported those subscribers with an import plugin. They are now registered users according to Subscribe2 plugin. Not one of them receives an email notification when a new post goes up. The people who do receive email notifications are the ones that have followed me since the move, called Followers according to Jetpack. Is there a way to get my imported subscribers to be followers on the new site?
    Thank you
    Anthony

You’d need to contact the folks over at wordpress.com about this. They would need to move your .com followers across to your .org site.

    Thank you esmi

    One other question please.
I have another self-hosted site that has an old blog https://www.londonatdawn.com. I want to export those subscribers to my other new blog. https://www.anthonyepes.com. Will importing them this way make them subscribers who receive email notifications?
    Many thanks

Not unless you import them into a plugin that sends out such emails (eg Jetpack). How/if you can do this will vary depending on the plugin used. WordPress itself doesn’t send out new post emails.

I have Jetpack. According to Jetpack site stats I have only the new followers since the move. The imported subscribers are not listed in site stats. Are you saying I need to use Jetpack to do the import instead of Tools/Import on the dashboard?

To be honest., I’m not sure if that will import users from one site to another. You need top ask the Jetpack developers about this.

    Thanks esmi.
If I import using Tools/Import a CSV file will WordPress see these as subscribers and send them email notifications?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Ok so my followers get an email everytime I create a new post. Is there a way to change this so they just receive 1 email a day (if I make a post), sometimes I post more than 1 a day and don’t want followers/users to get two emails from this – just like a summary email of new posts? Is this Possible?
