    Hi Ross. I’m just getting up and going with your DPS PxPay plugin for a client. As well as receiving notifications when a payment has been received, my client would like to receive email notifications if the payment isn’t successful. This is because they’re selling high ticket items, and would like to personally follow up with anyone who was keen enough to order, but for whatever reason couldn’t pay. Is this possible with the plugin?

    G’day jodamo5,

    This plugin does the payment processing after the entry has been recorded in Gravity forms. In the DPS PxPay Feed admin, you can tick checkboxes to only send notifications when the payment has been processed, which delays the notifications until after a payment — whether it was successful or not. (really must change the text there, it’s “processed” not “received”)

    If you tick those boxes, you can then add some custom merge tags to your notification emails. Add these ones to get the payment status, Payment Express transaction ID, and the bank’s authorisation code. With a failure, the latter two will be blank.

    Payment status: {payment_status}
    Transaction ID: {transaction_id}
    Auth code: {authcode}

    NB: those custom merge tags only work when you have ticked those checkboxes, because this plugin won’t process the emails for merge tags until after a payment attempt.

    cheers,
    Ross
